Project Overview

KongaHealth is a dual-platform solution designed to tackle inefficiencies in medication procurement across Nigeria. It combines:
- A customer-facing ePharmacy app (like Amazon PillPack for Africa)
- A B2B procurement platform for pharmacies to access counterfeit-proof medication

Problem

- Patients struggle to access affordable, authentic medication.
- Pharmacies face unreliable supply chains and counterfeit drug risks.
- There’s no centralized digital tool combining B2C medication access with B2B pharmaceutical procurement.

What I Did

1. User Research & Insights

B2C Interviews: Conducted structured interviews with individual users to understand:

  • How they currently buy medication
  • Pain points around price, availability, and trust
  • Desired features in a digital solution

B2B Interviews (Pharmacy Owners/Procurement Officers):

  • Procurement challenges
  • Issues with counterfeit drugs
  • Digital literacy and operational constraints

Key Insights:

  • Patients want ease, affordability, and trust in medication sources
  • Pharmacies want verified suppliers, bulk discounts, and order tracking
  • Logistics and payments are core concerns on both sides

2. Prototyping & Testing

- Created wireframes and interactive prototypes for both user groups

- Conducted usability tests with law students (for B2C) to simulate informed end-user engagements

- Iterated based on feedback:

Impact
